In 1991 a 25 year old carpenter in night school for Architectural Drafting extruded his first polyline into 3D using AutoCAD R12. Kurt knew at that moment that his career would revolve around 3D modeling for construction. It took a few architecture drafting jobs and a couple superintendent jobs trying to leverage 3D models for luxury home construction before he found timber framing, CNC fabrication technology, and parametric timber design software. In 2000 he met Peter Dickson at a Timber Framers Guild convention and he’s been working with and for FraserWood industries ever since. With over 20 years of experience in all aspects of heavy timber fabrication on projects across the Western US,  Kurt has moved into a sales and education role at FraserWood. He’s always looking for that next, even more challenging project.
